Anyway....
Here's some pictures from Memphis.
This a life-sized statue of W.C. Handy that is in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel in Germantown, which is where we stayed. Cool huh?
This is the tag that I forgot to take off of the hoodie that I wore all over Memphis on Saturday. This is the famous "Blue Plate Restaurant." The line was almost out the door. But we didn't have to wait too long.
The restaurant is filled with these wonderful pet portraits by Debbie Richmond. The Yorkie immediately made me think of my blogger friend Helen and my cousin Annette. It is just awesome. The colors are amazing.
Aren't they wonderful? I really wanted to wander around in there and take pictures of all of the portraits and not worry about disturbing everybody's meal......but I didn't.
I ate a brunch that would make a cardiologist sad.
For starters:
Biscuits with.......
Saw Mill gravy.....
Grits floating in butter, 2 eggs over easy and country ham.
Ahhh now on to see "Jersey Boys." Life is good.

Thanks for the photos of the pets! WOW! LOVE them! (Especially the Yorkie, as you thought!)
It has been years since I had biscuits with gravy. That breakfast looks as yummy as it is naughty!
I started laughing at your tag photo. A few weeks ago, I did the same thing. After spending a whole day at a doll club meeting, a member came over and whispered in my ear about the tag. ARGH!
I think you had FUN!!!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Those pet pics just the best!
Awww, What fun. I love that Yorkie picture. Boo had his first introduction to snow this afternoon. He was running around chasing snowflakes. Blue Plate Restaurant sounds like Mary Mac's Tea Room in Atlanta. Yummy!
The statue in the lobby of the hotel looks very impressive. As for the pets pictures, I'm afraid you won't find any such thing in a restaurant , here where I live in Israel. It's not considered as boosting the appetite.
The food at the "Blue Plate Restaurant" looks very inviting.
Looks like a breakfast that my Dick would love! The painting of the kittie is so sweet! Happy Valentines! PS: I kept 2 of the cookies for us tonight as a treat! I'm glad you made them and liked them too!
Oh How wonderful!!!!!!!!! I could have just died when i read that you had worn a tag all around town, but i did laugh, I am sorry!!!
Many Hugs,
Jackie
Plain-n-simple!
Hah hah...wore your hoodie with the tag on. I went to work a while back and a lady says, Grayquill, did you get a new pair of pants? I got all flattered she noticed, then she told me I hadn't taken off the tag in the back. Hah Hah on me...
