Daddy's Home

That's right..David's home.  The mighty hunter spent the last week in Colorado hunting elk with his buddies.  And guess what, nobody came home with anything.  Nothing. Nada.  Now I can't say that I'm disapointed--but please don't tell him--'cause I don't ascribe to the whole hunting thing.
But this time I tried to be very supportive of him and honestly this is the first time that I haven't been mad at him for going.  I just don't understand it and have always thought it was a big fat waste of time and money.
But we sat down and had a heart to heart talk.  And this time I heard him when he told me how much it meant to him to get to go.
But like I said nobody even saw any elk.  The only thing that he saw was...are you ready?  That's right, Tom Brokaw.  And of course my David marched right up to him and had his picture made with him. Love ya Daddy.

Very nice of you to be supportive in times like these. He'll appreciate it and that's worth a lot.

I heard that the elk got a warning from two little Mississippi puppies . . . I guess it's ok to go huntin' if you don't ever see what you're huntin' for (well, at least in my book). GO ELK! Tom Brokaw still looks pretty cute, too!!

My male relatives do the hunting thing. It's tradition. I'm glad you were supportive. Now...a tradition the girls have that nice oceanside or mountain view cottage. H'mmmm. By the way, come on over and we can meet in the nice nonplastic bookstore.
